Bomet is the only county in Rift Valley where electorate does not vote for leaders because of their exceptional development trace but for their ideal oratory skills and closeness to the Deputy President William Ruto.
Election of the current Members of Parliament except bellicose Ronald Tanui is one of the recent miracles on earth.
As the Deputy President William Ruto is focusing on his Presidential bid, it has emerged that four leaders are salivating for Bomet top seat.
They are Knut Secretary General Wilson Sossion, Bomet Central MP Ronald Tanui, Petroleum CAS, Eng. John Mosonik and former Governor Isaac Ruto are salivating for Bomet top seat.
Sossion, who has national outlook, is a son of the soil who served in Tenwek High before he rose to be Bomet Knut branch Executive Secretary and later to national office.
The ODM nominated MP has deep roots but his affiliation with Ruto’s nemesis Raila Odinga is his awaiting tragedy. He is however, hinted to be preparing to join Ruto’s team in readiness for his contention.
Tanui, a second term MP, was also Bomet Kuppet executive secretary before he ran for parliamentary. His uncouth and charisma in team tanga tanga positions him as a man to watch.
Engineer Mosonik, who hails from Sotik constituency with the current Governor shot to public lime light when he was the PS for Roads. He supported DP Ruto to ensure several tarmac roads spiral all over the county.
Though he is soft-spoken, he might use tarmac roads and his deep pocket to bargain for the seat.
According to residents Isaac was lucky with stirring language, development record and antagonistic skills but rebelling William Ruto and forming Chama Cha Mashinani sent him to parking.
Safe for him, after he lost he made up his minds to back William Ruto.
If Isaac will keep on supporting DP, he will absolutely be one of the front runners but if Gideon Moi mislead him, it will be the end of his political life.
