A syndicate that has been secretly plotting the downfall of the Deputy President William Ruto by use questionable government activities, TV shows, biased newspaper headlines and nonexistent scandal claims has been unmasked.
Since President Uhuru Kenyatta signed a truce with his long-term rival Raila Odinga, politicians and business people who have been sheltering under wings of Kenyatta family, have taken advantage of President Uhuru’s lenience to gang-up with power hungry Raila and Gideon Moi to plan for Ruto’s downfall in vain.
According to public expectations and media ethics, Media and media personalities should always be fair but Tony Gachoka and Standard Media Group are undoubted weapons used to plot for Ruto’s downfall in favour of Kenyatta, Moi and Odinga families.
If you have been following the KTN’s Point Blank show hosted by one Tony Gachoka who was purposely hired early this year and commissioned to specialize in peeling off Ruto and host anti-Ruto politicians.
The Standard Media group that owns The Standard News and KTN TV is owned by Moi’s family and has been identified as a key tool to portray DP Ruto in bad light.
“It is for this reason that Gachoka was strategically placed there to serve the interest of dynasties. Gachoka’s show gives a platform to those who are against William Ruto” a source said
He was the head of protocol in the defunct office of the Prime Minister (Raila), and his fortunes sprouted after the handshake when he was made persons to fight for retention of dynasties in power.
Gachoka’s lavish 50th birthday celebrations became a club of planning how to stop Ruto from Statehouse 2022 as evidenced by David Murathe’s sentiments who was recorded saying it is only Raila Odinga alone who can stop William Ruto from entering statehouse.
“If there is somebody who can stop that guy (Ruto) from becoming President, it is the former Prime Minister. There is nobody else,” said Murathe, adding: “Our main aim is to make sure that person (Ruto) does not become President because if he does we are all finished” Murathe said
Raila who was at the event, assured them that he and President Uhuru have put in place unmentioned tough measures to block DP Ruto.
Others present were City lawyer Donald Kipkorir, Minister Eugene Wamalwa, James Nyoro (Kiambu DG), Raphael Wanjama, Njehu Gatabaki and Richard Ngatia.
The team is ostensibly part of the sous-chefs who have been fabricating dishonesty claims against senior government officials believed to be Ruto’s loyalists.
Mzee Gatabaki is a prominent Kiambu trader and former Githunguri MP and he once pocketed Sh725 million for compensation from a real estate developer. He last year went back to court seeking Sh1.6 billion from the government for their land acquired during construction of the Northern Bypass.
Ngatia is the owner of Galileos – an entertainment joint in Nairobi and among the few people who were once listed to be among the people who sometimes meet with President Uhuru for dinner.
Those who have been accused of corruption and fired without justifiable evidence include Davis Chirchir, Rahid Echesa, CS Henry Rotich, Joe Sang, Ken Tarus among others.
As Ruto’s men are being shot down one by one, all friends of Kenyatta, Moi and Odinga families are holding different meetings to find possible ways on how to block energetic Ruto from entering statehouse. The most imminent strategies are referendum, PS reshuffles and Mau eviction.
The Mau death-trap that was being used by the team against Ruto is also terribly failing amidst the entry of Narok leaders led by Samuel Tunai and several MPs who demand for negotiations and organized relocation of evictees.
