The Inua Mama Jenga Taifa meeting scheduled to take place in Bomet’s Silibwet stadium has for the first time attracted the first ever rebellion in the Rift region.
The Kandara MP Alice Wahome-led movement comprising female legistlators who are allied to the Deputy President William Ruto.
In Nakuru, Susan Kihika was the host and the event was successful and well attended.
The County Post has learned of an uproar and rebellion among the Bomet leaders and women groups accusing the area woman Rep Joyce Korir of planning to soil the image of Deputy President by serving her own greed.
Sources privy to the County Government say, Korir, submitted non-existent groups to the unamed financier leaving behind genuine groups of women doing business in various towns in the region.
While the caravan started this morning from Kyogong area bound to Silibwet, the omitted women groups mounted tents with placards labelled Inua Mama at Bomet CBD purposely to embarrass the host.
All MCAs accuse Joyce Korir of failing to invite them to the event directly but instead invited them through the Governor.
Unfortunately, Governor Barchok also questions how the event was planned and will snub the event.
Korir, who was once vocal has in the recent past been accused of being a lone ranger serving selfish agenda.
Our efforts to get a comment from the MP were futile when phone calls went unanswered.
