Bomet County Government has no single project to be commissioned during the Deputy President William Ruto’s visit on Friday.
The area Governor Dr. Hillary Barchok is now the talk of towns and social media platforms with many accusing him to have done no visible project since he took over the county’s leadership.
Besides inspecting or commissioning completed projects established by the national government, DP Ruto whenever he visits an area usually asks Governors and MPs to suggest projects they have done and due for operationalization.
According to sources privy to the visit, when he was asked, Barchok suggested roads funded by World Bank within Silibwet Town upgraded to bitumen standards and hospital equipment in Ndanai Subcounty hospital procured by the national government and that had been commissioned by the PS Peter Tum in 2019.
The DP will however, be handing over school buses facilitated by Sotik Constituency Development Fund (CDF), and preside over a fundraiser for Ndanai Bodaboda Sacco.
DP Ruto will also be handing over a bus to Sibilibwet FC that he purchased for their empowerment.
Later in the day, Dr. Ruto is expected to visit the home of Bomet Woman Rep Joyce Korir for housewarming party.
