Nakuru has been dealt a blow in the recent changes to senior ranks of the Executive and re-alignments in various ministries made by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the circular issued by Head of Public Services Joseph Kinyua on Wednesday evening, Nakuru’s Lawrence Karanja who was Industrialization CAS was sent home.
At the same time the fate of former Subukia MP Nelson Gachuhie who is the National Treasury CAS is not known.
The duo have been the only senior leaders from the region at the National Government.
Before his appointment in 2019, Karanja is a distinguished lawyer who represented the Law Society of Kenya Rift Valley Chapter.
“The changes are also in recognition of the momentous task of setting the foundation for building back better, as Kenya rebounds from the socioeconomic shocks of the coronavirus pandemic,” read the circular.
Raila’s defender, David Osiany replaced Karanja as the new CAS for Industrialization, Trade & Enterprise Development.
