Petroleum and Mining Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Eng. John Mosonik on Thursday called upon the church, individuals and County Governments to always look into the needs of vulnerable children who are housed in various children’s homes.
Mosonik who has always been at the forefront championing for the welfare of the needy members of society spoke when he delivered food stuffs to Kenduiya Children’s home in Bukacha, Bomet East Subcounty.
” We shouldn’t ignore the needs of the underprivileged children in our society. It is biblical and therefore all of us should take a burden of ensuring their welfare,” he said
He further challenged the area County Government to come up with programs that support such homes to afford life’s basic needs such as shelter, food and clothing.
Some of the items he donated included 5 bags of maize, and bags rice .
He also, said his team will be touring across the county to assist children with special needs that need attention and assistance.
