Former Kipkelion MP Magerer Lang’at has said he is the best suited candidate for Kericho Gubernatorial race.
Speaking during a funeral ceremony in Belgut over the weekend, he said Energy CS Charles Keter’s experience and closeness with DP is more useful at the national level but not at the county level.
“Let him go and support the DP as we sort these minor tasks here at the grassroots. Every time the DP wants to strategise on something, with whom shall he share his thoughts with?” he posed
At the moment, all the aspirants see Keter as a formidable force who can seize the seat if not tamed.
Magerer was an ODM diehard until he was ejected by hired ODM goods while serving as party’s Executive Director.
On healthcare services, Magerer promised to revitalise county health installations, saying, citizens should not be punished to travel for long distance yet the county has facilities that needs to be equipped.
He added that he is not a man of empty words saying Kipkelion residents today pride in the development projects he established while serving as a Member of Parliament.
“I lobbied for Londian-Koru-Muhoroni road during President Kibaki’s regime opening the entire Kipkelion for unprecedented development,”he added.
On Agriculture and Industrialization, he says he brought back to life Fort-Tenan Coffee Mills that restored enthusiasm of tea growing hence boosting the locals’ livelihood.
“Given opportunity, I will place Kericho County in its glory and ensure no form of intimidation and unjust share of county resources,” he said
Other leaders who have shown interest in the seat include Dr. Erick Mutai, CS Charles Keter (not declared), DG Lily Ng’ok and Prof. sang.
